• So, how do I rename replays while I'm still ingame?

  • Let's say you've just played an automatch or custom game and you're looking at the game statistics (the screens where you can see how many units you had at every moment, how much resources etcetera). If you now press the insert, home, page up or page down key the replay of this game (the last replay) will be saved using the rename settings you've set in the program.

You'll hear a beep from you speaker inside your system to notify you the replay is saved. If you don't hear a beep, something did go wrong and the replay isn't saved.

  • I never hear a beep, no matter what I try.

  • It might be the problem that the Replay Tool is looking for the wrong replay. In order to save the replay of the last game you've played the program needs to know the name of the last replay. In some cases it knows it automatically, in some other cases it doesn't know it at all or the program is wrong.

You can check this at the bottom of the program. There's a text that says "Last replay name is:". If the name is left out or is wrong, click the change button on the right. A file browser pops up, please browse to your CNC3 Tiberium Wars replay folder and select the last replay. Press the save settings button to save this new setting.

  • Can I start a replay while I'm using the Replay Tool?

  • Yes you can. Doubleclick the replay you want to watch in the list of replays. The game will start now and opens the replay automatically.

  • What options do I have with the format of the date-/timestamp?

  • You can change everything you want. For example, I want my stamp to look like this (assuming you've played a game on the 16th of April on 13:37 hours:

    (13-37 on 16-04)

To do this, just change the text in the format box to this: (hh-mm on MM-DD)

  • What's that button next to the date-timestap format box?

  • That button will restore the original format setting. You can use this button if you're completely lost.

  • How do I rename or delete other replays?

  • In the Replay Tool, browse to the folder where that replay is located. Select it and rightclick on it. The rest should be easy. You can also select multiple replays using the shift or ctrl buttons.

  • So, how can I look up playerrankings?

  • It is easy to look up playerrankings on the official EA ladders. In the Replay Tool you rightclick on a playername and select the ladder you wish to see that player's ranking on. Your internetbrowser will now open and the rest is easy. The same can be done for clans.

  • I just updated my Replay Tool and now my settings are gone.

  • I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do about that at this moment. For now you have to spend a minute or two restoring them manually.

  • What does "Disable hotkeys if CNC3 isn't the active window" mean?

  • If you select this option, the hotkeys (insert, home etcetera) are not working if you're not in the game. This way you can use these keys while the Replay Tool is running in the background and you are, for example, browsing the internet. This way the Replay Tool will not rename the last replay everytime you press one of the keys and you are not ingame.
