Being the e-sports beast that Stacraft 2 is, it has a lot of tournaments available for everyone to join. From novice to pro, is has tournaments for everyone. Below are listed some tournaments that are free to join for everyone. Sharpen up your Starcraft 2 skills and battle your way to the finals.

Zotac Tournament

The Zotac Starcraft 2 tournament is a 1v1 tournament hosted weekly on Sunday. The € 100,- prizepool is awarded completely to the winner of the tournament.

Zotac has been active in the Starcraft 2 scene since the start of the beta and has shown it can host well organised tournaments with over 500 players, that are attented by a lot of well known topplayers. However, everyone who wants to join the cup can do so, there is no skilllevel restriction.

Zotac tournaments allow casters to join the games played in the tournament so that everyone can follow the action live with high quality commentary in different languages.

CraftCup Tournament

CraftCup looks a lot like Zotac, the tournament has the same kind of format (1v1) and awards prizes between € 20,- and € 100,-. Craftcup tournaments are also followed by a lot of casters showing the games live on their webcasts with commentary.

CraftCup is split in a European tournament and in a USA tournament. However, USA players can enter the European tournaments if they have access to the European servers and vice versa.

ESL GO4SC2

Every Wednesday and Sunday the Electronic Sports League is the host of the ESL GO4SC2 1v1 cups. These tournaments follow the same format as the Zotac and CraftCup tournaments and allow you to earn points to qualify for the monthly finales with a prizepool of € 500,-. Aside of that, every Sunday tournament has a prizepool of € 200,- for the winner.

Besides the GO4SC2 cups ESL is the host of a lot of other SC2 tournaments, some of them even allow you to only play vs people of your own skilllevel (however, you have to be a ESL premium member to be able to join these). Check it all out at http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/go4sc2/.
